Information for Referrers

How To Refer To Us

Patients can be referred to us under the Better Access Initiative.

Patients can access a rebate of up to 10 sessions in a calendar year (1 January to 31 December) with a referral to a psychologist under a Mental Health Treatment Plan. The maximum number of sessions that can be allocated on an initial referral is six (6), with a possibility then of a re-referral for a further four (4) sessions.

Referrals can be sent to us by email or fax.

Our Commitment To You

As a part of our ethos ‘we have the courage to care’, we strive to provide the following commitments to our referrers.

  • We will see your patients promptly, typically within 1 week of them contacting us.

  • Your patient’s treatment will be handled by qualified clinical psychologists.

  • We will provide you with a written report within 3 days of the initial appointment and update you both throughout, and at the conclusion of treatment.

  • We will always utilise the latest evidence based treatments and best practices, delivered within ethical guidelines.

Patient Resources

Seeing a psychologist can often be a daunting and new experience for patients. That’s why we provide resources for referrers that can be given to patients in preparation for their mental health journey.

You are able to download and print the below information sheets for your patients for these common mental health concerns.
