Frequently Asked Questions

Fees, Medicare Rebates & Insurance

  • If you are using a Mental Health Treatment Plan or referral from your treating doctor, you are eligible for up to 10 Medicare rebates per year of either $96.65 (for a general psychologist) or $141.85 (for a clinical psychologist).

Your referring GP will need to assess your progress after the 6th session in order to access the remaining 4 sessions.

If you have an approved self-managed NDIS plan, you are eligible for a rebate of $222.99 per psychology session. However, as we are not an NDIS provider, we are unable to bill NDIS directly on your behalf. We will provide you with a receipt for you to apply for a reimbursement through NDIS.

You may also be eligible for rebates under your private health insurance. You are unable to claim both the Medicare rebate and private health insurance rebate at the same time.

  • We are not a bulk billing service. There is an out of pocket fee for all appointments.

  • Clients must reschedule or cancel their appointment at least 2 business days before their appointment date. This allows us time to offer your appointment to someone else who is waiting to book.

If clients are unable to reschedule or cancel within the required time frame, or a client does not attend their scheduled appointment, a full fee will be charged.

It is generally recommended that appointments are scheduled on a weekly to fortnightly basis to ensure momentum of therapeutic change in the beginning. Your psychologist will discuss treatment time frames with you throughout your treatment.
